    Huntington Town Board Schedules Public Hearings

    The Huntington Town Board recently approved the scheduling of several public hearings at its Aug. 6 meeting, including:

    • Adopting amendments to the Town Code involving registration and permits of property, under Artcle II, residential rental permits. The change would require that a member of an LLC that owns a rental property would have to prove residence.
    • Amendments to the traffic code, for Owen Court,  East Northport, stop signs, at the intersection of Seventh Avenue West
    • Amendments to the traffic code, for Walnut Treen Lane, Wawapek Road, Cold Spring Harbor, stop signs.
    • Amendments to the traffic code, Truman Place, Centerport, stop signs.
    • Amendments to the traffic code, Pulaski Road, Huntington Station, parking restrictions; no parking at Plauskri Road north from 60 feet east of Kilburn Ave. and Kilburn. Pulaski Road south from 60 feet east of Kilburn to Kilburn Avenue.
    • Authorizing the execution of a license agreement with New York SMSA Limited Partnership for the use and occupancy of Dix Hills Water District property at Wolf Hill Road in Dix Hills. This would permit Verizon Wireless to use space on the parcel to locate its communcation equipment, along with spae for antennas and cabling on the water tower.
    • Amend the town code, raising the prize maximum to $5,000 at bingo. No series of prizes on any one bingo occsion shall agrregate more than $15,000.
    • Amendment to the town code for film permits.
