ASHLAND — The Ashland Division of Police issued the following reports after officers’ activity from July 18-19. These reports include incidents by date, arrests, citations issued and calls by day organized in chronological order. Police fielded 64 calls. Commissioners OK Children Services levy, discuss plans for regional sewer district
The Lorain County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously Friday to place a 1.8-mill, five-year renewal levy for Lorain County Children Services on the November ballot. The board also discussed early plans for a regional sewer district including Lorain County and Vermilion, the so-called "6119 plan" after the Ohio Revised Code statute that allows for the creation of those districts.

Wickliffe man involved in two-vehicle crash in Milan Township
A 62-year-old Avon Lake man was seriously injured July 17 in a two-vehicle crash in Milan Township, according to a news release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Troopers responded at 2:54 p.m. on state Route 113 at Kelley Road in Milan Township for the crash involving a motorcycle and a truck.
