Avangrid Begins Largest Solar Grazing Operation in the Pacific Northwest
PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jul 23, 2024-- Avangrid, Inc. (NYSE: AGR), a leading sustainable energy company and member of the Iberdrola Group, has partnered with a fifth-generation Oregon rancher to graze sheep at two solar farms in Oregon and Washington, and launched the largest “solar grazing” operation in the region. Solar grazing is a vegetation management method used at solar energy facilities that uses grazing livestock, like sheep, instead of machinery. Sheep are effective at limiting the growth of weeds and vegetation, cutting down on wildfire risks while replacing the use of gas-powered machines. This press release features multimedia. Fall Bazaar to come to downtown Weiser this year
A new event is being added to Weiser’s downtown list of fun things to do with the Fall Bazaar. For many years it was held at Second Chance located on Hwy. 95, but will move into town in early October. Planning the event, Patrick Nauman says there will be a Kids Zone along with hundreds of vendors.
