Brattleboro property tax rate to rise almost 8%
BRATTLEBORO-Property taxes will go up about 8% after the Selectboard voted unanimously July 9 to adopt the fiscal year 2025 property tax rate. COLCHESTER — Colchester’s annual Bayside Park concert series is returning to town for the summer season starting tomorrow, with the first show to be held Thursday July 18. All concerts are held on Thursday evenings at Lower Bayside Park and begin at 7 p.m. with free admission and parking. 50th Annual Essex Day Celebration
Essex Initiatives will host the 50th annual Essex Day celebration on Main Street in downtown Essex, NY on Saturday, August 3rd from 10am – 2pm. “Downtown Essex Day” began as a small local festival, organized by community members in 1974. Essex resident Jan Peden is credited with conceiving the event, which consisted of neighbors selling clothes, knick-knacks, and kitchen supplies along Main Street.
