    Huntington man arrested after violently shaking woman

    HUNTINGTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Cabell County man faces domestic charges following an incident last week in which a woman was reportedly forcefully grabbed and violently shaking.

    According to Cabell County Magistrate Court documents , at 3:16pm on Friday, June 28, 2024, authorities responded to the scene of 700 1st Street in Huntington regarding a domestic incident.

    Initial reports indicated that a male had been chasing a female. Upon arrival at the scene, Deputies report having been flagged down by a group of males who stated that the suspect involved in the incident had fled on foot toward the location of a McDonald’s restaurant on 5th Avenue.

    It was additionally stated that the suspect – identified as 34-year-old Raymond McDonald, was dressed in a white shirt and grey sweatpants at the time of the incident.

    As McDonald made his way toward McDonald’s, he was located by authorities in the 100 block of Washington Avenue at a car wash based on the matching description given of the clothing he was wearing. McDonald was then placed in restraints and contained in a patrol vehicle as responders attempted to locate the victim.

    The victim was eventually located by responders and stated that she had been involved in a verbal altercation with McDonald when she was first grabbed by her hair and then by the shoulders before she was shaken violently by the suspect. The victim additional stated that she had made attempts to leave the situation but was not being permitted to do so by McDonald.

    While the aforementioned individuals that flagged down authorities had left the scene before official statements could be taken, the individuals did state that they had intervened in a situation involving McDonald and the victim in which he had grabbed and shaken the victim while screaming profanity at her.

    Raymond McDonald faces charges of Domestic Battery based on the incident.
