Crisppi’s Chicken introducing ketchup, accepting cash, after criticisms from Huntington community

UPDATE (8 p.m. on July 7, 2024) — Due to high demand, Crisppi’s Chicken in Downtown Huntington will now be accepting cash payments.

According to a post on the Crisppis Chicken Facebook page, the change will go into effect on July 8.

HUNTINGTON, WV (WOWK) — Crisppi’s Chicken in Downtown Huntington is introducing a much demanded condiment to its restaurant after facing criticism earlier in the year.

On Saturday, the Crisppis Chicken Facebook page said that ketchup will be coming to the restaurant by popular demand, starting on July 8.

This development comes after the Huntington Crisppi’s Chicken faced backlash when its manager posted several video on social media saying the restaurant was being discriminated against through bad reviews and comments. One of these complaints was reportedly a demand for ketchup, which the restaurant didn’t offer.
