While the 2024 season has not started yet, it is not too early to start looking ahead to the 2025 season. On Wednesday, college football fans saw a future game added to the schedule of a prominent SEC program.

The Marshall Thundering Herd announced on its social media that they will play a future game against the Georgia Bulldogs. Marshall will join Austin Peay, Charlotte and Georgia Tech as Georgia's non-conference opponents in 2025. This announcement comes after it was revealed that Georgia and UCLA have mutually agreed to cancel their future games in 2025 and 2026.

After the announcement, college football fans quickly shared their thoughts. Some made fun of the Thundering Herd, while others expressed excitement for the matchup. One person referred to it as a "paycheck game," while another commented, "No amount of money is worth the embarrassment of you playing OSU or Georgia. Stop this madness." Another thinks it's a great opportunity to "shock the world."

One fan is uncertain about the series, while another laughed at the announcement.

Another person predicted a score of 70-0 in favor of Georgia, believing the Thundering Herd has little chance.
