Huntington Board of Education to Meet

The Huntington Board of Education will meet Monday night, with a proposed extended executive session, which is not open to the public.

While the board and district have been silent about the April 23 vote to hire an attorney to investigate “issues” that are publicly unidentified, rumors have swirled across Huntington and other school districts about a matter involving the conduct of an individual.

The board said then that it had appointed  attorney Elena Cacavas as special investigative counsel  “for the purposes of addressing the Issues pursuant to applicable District policies.”

The executive session is listed as “proposed” at 6 p.m., followed by the regular board meeting at 7:30 p.m. Executive sessions are normally listed as starting at 6:30 p.m.
