Northport, Cold Spring Harbor Budgets Approved

Northport voters approved the budget for the next year on Tuesday, while choosing two trustees for the Board of Education in a contentious election.

Re-elected was Carol Taylor (1,984 votes); elected was Michael Cleary  (1,860). They defeated Paul Darrigo (1,601) and  Victoria Bento (1,328)

The budget of  $187,932,561 passed 2,200-1,536; A proposition to spend $1 million from its reserve fund for repair of district facilities was also approved, 2,813-877.

Cold Spring Harbor Passes Budget

Cold Spring Harbor voters approved the budget as well as three propositions Tuesday night.

The $80,699,285 budget passed 657-186.

Voters chose to re-elect trustee Heather Morante Young (555 votes); they also picked Mark Attalienti (484) over Scott Kaufman (414).
