Parades, Wreaths Mark Memorial Day in Huntington

Veterans, firefighters, community groups and others marched in parades around Huntington Monday to mark Memorial Day.

Most of the ceremonies went off before the heavy rains came Monday afternoon.

Elected officials scattered across town, to view or participate in parades in Elwood, East Northport, Centerport, Greenlawn, Northport. Town Supervisor Ed Smyth and Tax Receiver Jillian Guthman turned out on Main Street to view the march led by American Legion Post 360.
