Menezes & Associates, CLNC LLC has launched as an independent certified legal nurse consulting practice to help attorneys and insurance companies with their medical-related cases.
Founded by Natasia Menezes, RN, BSN, CLNC, Menezes & Associates provides many services that save both time and money.
“The first service many attorneys request is organizing and interpreting the huge quantity of medical records involved in a medical-related case. A Certified Legal Nurse Consultant can do this more cost effectively than an MD,” says Menezes, a radiology nurse at Weill Cornell Medicine/NYP. In addition, “because I am actively still practicing, I can also assist by testifying as an expert witness when needed.”
Menezes & Associates also screen cases for merit, locate other expert witnesses and assist the attorney with discovery and trial preparation. “My 22 years of nursing experience within various aspects of healthcare (Long-term care, Sub-acute care, Head trauma rehab, Emergency and Radiology nursing) have given me an understanding of the system in both inpatient and outpatient settings that many attorneys find beneficial,” Menezes said. “This inside knowledge, combined with my training as a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant, allows me to tailor
my services to many types of cases, from personal injury, medical malpractice, workman’s comp, criminal, toxic tort to even product liability cases.”
As a local resident, Menezes works with attorneys within the Huntington community and is available for collaboration remotely. Menezes received her CLNC® certification from LegalNurse.com, the nation’s oldest and largest accredited legal nurse consulting education company. “As a member of the National Alliance of Certified Legal Nurse Consultants, we have access to over 4,000 CLNC’s in every specialty, you can trust your case will be customized to meet your specific needs,” Menezes said.
