Barnes & Noble Store to Open in September

The Barnes & Noble store will open in late September,  relocating to a prime literary address at 301 Walt Whitman Road, Huntington Station.

The new store, which replaces the East Northport site that closed in January, has about 14,000 square feet of space. That site was previously filled with a fitness store and other shops, and abuts the Walt Whitman Birthplace property.

A store representative said it will carry books, games, puzzles and vinyl, and include a B&N cafe.

The store relocated from the Huntington Square center when the grocery chain Aldi’s moved into the center.

It is directly across the street from the Whole Foods store that opened in July.
