Dinosaurs Strut Their Stuff at Whitman Shops

Colorful dinosaurs and their young fans were aglow Thursday as the LuminoCity Dinosaur Safari Festival got underway at Walt Whitman Shops.

Dozens of brightly lit animated characters, representing creatures from ancient epochs, including T-Rexes, mastodons, Brontosauruses and many others, filled the parking lot. Kids could also take rides, enjoy a bounce castle or stop by to participate in a safari dig and Dino Fossil Hunt.

Huntington Councilwoman Theresa Mari welcomed the “amazing display”and said she was in awe of the program, while praising the creativity, imagination and “the journey back in time.”
