Huntington Lighthouse MusicFest to Return

The Huntington Lighthouse MusicFest will get underway next weekend with bands playing from the lighthouse and an audience gathered on vessels of all shapes and sizes. Started in 2006, the music festival has attracted thousands of people drawn to the unique nature of the event. The audience,  in motorboats, canoes, inner tubes, kayaks and skiffs,  hears hours of  music presented by the Huntington Lighthouse Preservation Society, which says this is the only music festival in the world held on top of a working lighthouse. Music begins Saturday at 11 am and runs through 8 pm. Boaters note: This is a no-wake zone from 9 a.m.-10 p.m. within a mile radius of the lighthouse.
