MusicFest Atop Lighthouse Gets Underway

Suffolk County Executive Ed Romaine and Legislator Stephanie Bontempi stopped by Saturday to wish participants well as the 15th Huntington Lighthouse Musicfest  got underway.

As boaters, paddleboarders, kayakers and others gathered around the Huntington Lighthouse, they listened as Oliver Cirelli, a Huntington resident and Eastwoods student, open the program by singing a perfect rendition of the National Anthem.

Romaine spoke to the crowd from atop the lighthouse, as the opening act, the Ed Travers Band, got ready to perform. The show will go on until later Saturday night.

The Huntington Lighthouse Preservation Society, led by Pam Setchell, puts on the musicfest each year as a fundraiser for the lighthouse.
