    Northport Festival to Feature 10 Plays

    The 15th Annual Northport One-Act Play Festival is set for the weekend of Sept. 27-29.

    Ten new plays, ranging from a drama centered on revenge to a comedy about AI dating, are scheduled for the Playhouse at St. Paul’s, 270 Main St., Northport.

    Plays will be performed in a two-part program, five plays per program: Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 2:30 p.m.,  and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

    Tickets are  $25 and can be purchased here

    Scheduled are:

    Program 1

    “Strange Connections” a drama by Abhisek Bhattacharya directed by Tammy Green
    with Julianna Viviani, John Arthur Battaglia and Laura Rosenfeld.
    A writer whose stories seem to predict the future is a prisoner of the criminal she is foiling.

    “Prefer Not To Say” a comedy by Maroun Rached directed by Joe Sherer
    with Bobbie Ruth Levy, JoAnn Celentano, Patrick Reilly and Robert Hertz.
    Three people are challenged about how to tackle gender on their company’s website.

    “Very Silent Night” a comedy by Seth Freeman directed by Jim Polen
    with Lee Kurfist, Vicki Milach and Bob Olenuk.
    A tale of how this classic Christmas carol came to be.

    “Note To Self” a drama by Cate Wiley directed by John Torres
    with John Torres and Holly Souchack.
    A potential suicide is stopped by a concerned passerby.

    “Flower Power” a comedy by Michael Casano directed by Patrick Reilly
    with Alex Rich, Danilise Diaz, William Cherno and Kevin Vincent.
    An advertising meeting with a client takes an unexpected turn.

    “Kill a Fellow” a drama by Joseph Bulvid directed by Jo Ann Katz
    with Justine Waker and Barbara Schuler.
    Betrayal leads to revenge and gives new meaning to “Hell hath no fury….”

    “The Book on Paris” a comedy by Michael Solomowitz directed by Alex Edwards-Bourdrez
    with Deanna Monaco, Jim Bradley and Ravi Tawney.
    A couple celebrating their 25th anniversary find they have mounting problems.

    “Deepfake” a comedy by Alisa Zhulina directed by Jo Ann Katz
    with Brianna Acevedo-Franchino, Renee McClean and Cal Gladden.
    A journalist’s assignment to investigate AI dating takes an interesting turn.

    “The Beach House” a drama by John McFadden directed by Stacey Portmore-Davies
    with Stacey Portmore-Davies and Patrick Reilly.
    A dying man gets an unexpected visitor.

    “The Twilight Phone” a comedy written and directed by Peter Scarpinato
    with Savannah Zeis, Lisa Meckes, Emily Tesar and Scott Miller.
    A teenage girl learns what it was like without cell phones.
