HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — One of the greatest things I’ve witnessed in Huntsville was the time Grissom’s band literally sneaked into the VBC Concert Hall and played “Tusk” with the Black Jacket Symphony.

It was mesmerizing and exciting and really cool since they sneaked 200 band members in without anyone knowing it.

The Black Jacket Symphony is a collection of musicians that reproduce classic albums note-for-note. They’ve performed albums like Houses of the Holy by Led Zeppelin, Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd, and Purple Rain by Prince.

They been doing this since 1991 and have done 43 albums to this point. After they play the album, they take a break and then come back on stage to play the artist from the classic album’s greatest hits.

The shows are almost always sold out.  The best part may be that the ticket prices are reasonable… especially when you compare it to what you have to pay to see acts in big venues.
