    Fund set up to assist Madison County detective in ICU after accident

    MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — A fund has been set up to assist with medical expenses for a Madison County Sheriff’s detective who was injured in a crash on Wednesday.

    Detective Josh Moseley sustained multiple injuries when he was involved in a wreck while working traffic control on I-565 around 9:13 p.m. The Madison County Sheriff’s Office says Moseley has undergone several surgeries since, and he is currently receiving treatment in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) at Huntsville Hospital.

    The Rocket City Federal Credit Union has set up a “Detective Josh Moseley Fund” account to help assist with his recovery. All donations will be used to help with Moseley’s medical expenses and other related costs.

    The credit union is located at 2200 Clinton Ave West, Huntsville, AL 35805.

    Moseley was transported to Huntsville Hospital after the crash that HEMSI’s Don Webster said happened just east of Slaughter Road. Madison County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) Spokesperson Brent Patterson the driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash was not hurt.

    “The Madison County Sheriff’s Office would like to express its gratitude to the community for their outpouring of support and concern for Detective Moseley’s well-being. We sincerely appreciate the many assistance offers and are committed to being there for him and his family during this challenging time,” MCSO said in a release.

    The sheriff’s office said it will continue to provide updates on Moseley’s condition and will be in close contact with him and his family throughout the recovery process.
