(WHNT) — Some things just seem to go together.

Chocolate and Peanut Butter. Caramel and Vanilla Ice Cream. Fried and Okra. (Ok. I thought that was funny.)

Huntsville native Nick Recio talks time with Black Jacket Symphony

But the pairing of Billy Allen and The Pollies was like two stars colliding in the cosmos. The corporate world ruined the word “synergy,” but it applies to Billy Allen and The Pollies.

Both were established acts, both could rock the house – but working together, it feels like they have found their own current in a rock music jet stream.

After watching Billy perform at a bar, Pollies founder Jay Burgess thought that pairing might be special, and he was right.  It took a couple of years for them to all get in the same room but when they did, the foundation was set pretty firmly.

Their live performances now make music fans talk about the show for days after.  And they have an album scheduled to come out in early 2025.

They will perform at Huntsville’s Southern Star Music Festival on September 29 at 1:30.
