BOUND FOR MUSIC CITY: Hermès has signed a lease to open an 8,500-square-foot store in Nashville’s Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood.Hermès Maintains Its Double-digit Pace The lease was signed with AJ Capital Partners, a Nashville-based developer, which has been transforming 18 acres of mixed-use real estate in the neighborhood, which is located south of downtown Nashville. Plan to revitalize Rock Harbor Marina gets green light from Planning Commission
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - After more than a year after plans to redevelop Rock Harbor Marina were announced, the group behind the proposal got its approval from the city. On Thursday, August 8, the Metro Planning Commission voted to approve the rezoning request by Prescott Group to turn the long-overlooked marina into a mixed-use community with an expanded docking infrastructure for boaters, new commercial spaces, as well as more parking and amenities. The Dallas-based group will also be adding a mix of new restaurants, although the existing Blue Moon Grille will still be the centerpiece of the marina.
Benefit Ride to Take Place for Sebastian Rogers Six Months After Disappearance
It’s been nearly six months since 15-year-old Sebastian Wayne Drake Rogers disappeared from his mother and stepfather’s home in Hendersonville on February 26. The Sumner County Sheriff’s Department along with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and search crews have searched multiple counties using boats, helicopters and horses in hopes of finding Sebastian. Although there are no new updates in the search at this time, authorities say they are remaining committed to investigating this case.
Little Big Town Takes the Stage at CMT Giants for Tribute Cover of Alabama’s Hit Song “The Closer You Get”
Back in the early 1980s, J.P. Pennington and Mark Gray joined forces to write a song that would become “The Closer You Get.” In 1981, the song was recorded by the band Exile. With the song gaining little attention, singer Don King picked it up and recorded his version. While recorded numerous times over the years, it eventually reached the No. 1 spot on the charts when Alabama decided to include it on the album of the same name. And with Alabama holding on to more than a few hit songs, CMT Giants decided to honor the group with special performances from groups like Little Big Town.
