Local students return to school
Pittsylvania County public schools’ halls were flocked with students once again on Monday, August 12, as students returned for a new school year. Despite disruption caused by inclement weather from tropical storm Debby, which resulted in school closures on PCS’s scheduled first day – Thursday, August 8, and again on Friday, August 9 - and interrupted Danville City schools’ first week back, closing schools on the division’s second and third days, operations are running again, and students, educators, and staff embarked on a new year.
