Voluntary Evacuation in DeSoto Due to Heavy Rains
De Soto, Mo. (KFMO) - Joachim Creek, in DeSoto, turned in to a river Tuesday afternoon after heavy rain fell across the region. First responders went door to door on East Second and East Third Streets alerting residents of the rising water. The creek reportedly hit about 8.5 feet, just after noon prompting the concern of voluntary evacuations. At least one resident did evacuate.
