HUTCHINSON, Kan. (KSNW) – Hutchinson residents are asked to conserve water on Monday.

The City of Hutchinson says a new line is being put into service, requiring a major water line to be shut down. The repair involves the replacement of the water line under Severance Street between 17th Avenue and 23rd Avenue.

The repair is scheduled between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. During the repair time, the Water Treatment Center will only be able to operate at 25% capacity, the City said.

For conservation, the city suggests postponing lawn and garden watering and avoiding non-essential water activities.
