    Two teens charged in connection to fatal shooting of 19-year-old Maryland man

    PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Police in Prince George’s County announced that two teenage boys have been charged in the fatal shooting of a man that happened three months ago.

    According to the Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) two 17-year-old boys, from Arlington, Va and Hyattsville, were charged with first and second-degree murder.

    Just after noon on April 10, officers went to the 500 block of Chillum Road to investigate a shooting. There, officers found 19-year-old Carlos Hernandez-Ortiz, of Chillum, who had been shot.

    He was taken to the hospital where he died.

    Police said both teenagers charged in connection with Hernandez-Ortiz’s death are being held without bond.
