Riverton City Council Delayed Decision on MOU Changes for Half Cent Tax
The Riverton City Council this past Tuesday discussed a proposed modification to the language of a Memorandum of Understanding proposed by the Fremont County Association of Governments (FCAG) for the half-cent economic development tax, which will appear on the November ballot. The change would alter the allocation to include a share for a county ambulance system and an additional share for ground transportation.

JACKSON, Wyo. — In a three to one vote, Town Council approved a Development Plan and Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for a new 20,288 square foot school for Central Wyoming College’s (CWC) Jackson campus located at 2020 W. High School Road. Town Council approved the plan on Monday, July 1.
Boy Scouts Volunteer At Jewel Cave
Jewel Cave National Monument hosted three Boy Scout troops on Saturday, June 29th for a service project involving the pulling of invasive plants from the Monument. Two of the troops were from Rapid City, and one from Casper, Wyoming. They worked with park staff members Christine Longenecker, Community Volunteer Ambassador, and Dylan Hansen, Lead Vegetation Technician. After a safety talk, the Scouts worked hard for the next two and a half hours in the Monument’s Historic Area and pulled an impressive half truckload of invasive plants. The invasive plants pulled included hounds tongue, Canada thistle, and mullein.
