The city of Toledo will host a public meeting this week on proposed street improvements in East Toledo. The community forum is slated for 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in Glass City Enrichment Center, 815 Front St. Topics will include a proposed realignment and crosswalk improvement at Front and Main streets; realignment, narrowing, and a multi-use path connection at Main and Boers-Boyer Way; a roundabout with places for pedestrians to pause at Main and Starr Avenue, and improvements to the Front and Main corridors to better connect East Toledo to the downtown riverfront and Glass City Metropark. Upcoming street improvements at Central and Detroit avenues will be the subject of a similar meeting at 5:30 p.m. July 30 in the Kent Branch Library at 3101 Collingwood Blvd.
