MCCAMMON — A man was rushed to Portneuf Medical Center on Friday after being run over by his own pickup truck and trailer during an incident in McCammon, authorities said. The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. on the lawn of a home at 1st West after the man's Ford pickup truck wouldn't start and he was working on the engine but didn't realize he had left the vehicle in gear, the Bannock County Sheriff's Office reported. ...

University of Idaho is developing technology to make housing more affordable nationwide by using Idaho wood waste to make one of the most sustainable building construction materials on the market. They’re combining sawdust and other wood byproducts with bio-based glue to create a medium for 3D-printing buildings and stackable bricks.
City of Eagle becomes non-sanctuary city, less services and protections for undocumented people
EAGLE, Idaho — The city of Eagle recently became a non-sanctuary city after a recent city council decision, and that decision has left the city riddled with controversy. "What they're doing is they're sending a message to people who are undocumented here in Idaho, saying they are not welcome in their city limits. and so that has dangerous implications, " Estefania Mondragon, executive director for Poder of Idaho told KTVB Friday.

Global tech outage affects Boise Airport
BOISE, Idaho — The global tech outage Friday morning affected airports, banks, hospitals and even baristas. In Boise, airline passengers are feeling the effects. As of Friday evening on July 19, the Boise airport had 11 cancellations and 25 delays, according to Flight Aware. Nationally, only 23% of flights were departing on time.
Pureflight Aviation to Open Flight School at Pocatello Regional Airport
Thursday, KPVI reported about the Pocatello City Council’s approval of a lease agreement with an Oregon based flight school to open a training center in eastern Idaho. Bannock Development Corporation and the city have spent the last 18 months working to get Pureflight Aviation. LLC to open a flight school at the Pocatello Regional Airport. Pureflight Aviation started in 1983 as Precision Aviation Training and now has locations in Newberg and Klamath Falls, Oregon.
