Level 2 evacuation order issued for Bulldog Fire burning near Crouch

The Bulldog Fire is now burning at 1,056 acres.
Favorable conditions allowed crews to dig direct control lines on the south and southwest fire perimeter as they prioritized protection of the communities along the nearby Middle Fork Road. Resources include 145 firefighters, an engine, and a helicopter.

The Boise County Sheriff is issuing a level 2 evacuation order in response to the lightning-sparked Bulldog Fire burning about 8 miles north of Crouch.

Evacuation alerts are active along portions of the Middlefork Road in Garden Valley.

The Boise County Sheriff's office says Middlefork Road will be closed near Tie Creek Campground. There will be no public access beyond that point. The Sheriff's Office adds, "Anyone planning on recreating in the area will need reevaluate their plans as there will not be access."

The Forest Service has evacuated Tie Creek Campground and issued a Closure Order for surrounding Forest Service lands.
