Move-in day is here for students attending Boise State University. If you're a parent or a student living on campus these are some essential things you'll want to know:

    • Move-in day is August 15 and 16 this year. Each student is permitted up to two helpers and two vehicles, however, larger vehicles like trailers are not allowed.
    • After arriving on campus, students will have one hour to get their belongings moved in. After that, students should their vehicles to long-term parking. This is so vehicles can move quickly and parking can be made available for everyone.
    • Staff will be on duty to assist and wheeled carts are available, but as move-ins get busier, both will likely be scarce in availability.

( Below is the transcript from the broadcast story)

"I’m so excited to be here, came from Philadelphia so long haul very excited,” says Rosemarie Harrigan.

It's back to class, for Boise State students!

Hundreds of freshmen moving in on Thursday, excited to start a new chapter.

Kaitlyn Blackburn says, “I'm looking forward to the walkability I live in towers so I know that's a little bit far but got to get the legs ready.”

"I took a gap year last year so I'm excited to just get back in the classroom,” says Rosemarie Harrigan.

Rosemarie Harrigan and her family flew to Boise from the east coast for the BSU experience.

She says, “My uncle lives in Sun Valley so I love it in Boise I love it in Idaho this is where I wanted to be.”

Lisa Kaul and her husband drove 8 hours from Montana to drop her daughter off, leaving the couple empty nesters.

Kaul says, “It’s not only a new chapter for her, it's a new chapter for us as well we have to relearn our new normal.”

Move in day can be bittersweet, but with a helpful volunteer staff, designated move in times, it made for a smooth and fun first day on campus.

Thursday was the first move in day for BSU, students will be moving in Friday the 16th. After that they’ll have a few days to explore the campus, as classes start on Monday August 19th.
