The Emmett Huskies broke in their new artificial turf field Friday evening with a convincing win over visiting Canyon Ridge, 34-6. Despite turning the ball over three times inside the Riverhawk 20 in the first half, Emmett built a 21-0 lead by halftime and cruised home. A young Huskie defense only allowed Canyon Ridge to enter Emmett territory on two drives all night.

Senior quarterback Ryder Scheibe ran 7-yards in the first quarter to put the Huskies on top to stay. Scheibe added a 13-yard scoring pass to Haus Davis early in the third quarter. Scheibe threw for 199 yards in the win.

Lincoln Thayn led Emmett’s rushing attach with 88 yards but was one of seven different Huskies to carry the ball on the night. Nesson Korell touched the ball three times — scoring on a one-yard run and was on the receiving end of a seven-yard scoring pass from sophomore Jax Banuelos.

Emmett took a 34-0 lead into the final the three minutes when Canyon Ridge was able to get into the endzone.
