A Nampa man died Saturday following a crash with a sanitation truck.

The 65-year-old, who has not been publicly identified, was driving a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck northbound on Riverside Road near Lake Lowell in Canyon County, when he drifted onto the right shoulder, overcorrected, returned to the roadway and collided with the sanitation truck, Idaho State Police said in a news release. The crash occurred at 12:59 p.m. Aug. 21.

The Nampa man was taken to a hospital, where he died 10 days later.

Both drivers were wearing a seat belt, ISP said.
