A Nampa man is dead after colliding with a tractor trailer Friday in east Idaho.

The 29-year-old, who has not yet been publicly identified, was driving a 2011 Honda Accord at 11:30 a.m. Friday when he struck the rear driver’s side of a tractor trailer at the intersection of Highway 33 and Interstate 15 in Jefferson County, Idaho State Police said. The tractor trailer was turning eastbound onto Highway 33 when the driver of the Honda, heading westbound, hit the vehicle.

The tractor trailer was being driven by a 62-year-old man from Alberta, Canada. Both drivers were wearing a set belt, ISP said, and the Nampa man died at the hospital later on Friday.
