Idaho's unemployment rate grows in June compared to May
BOISE, Idaho — The Idaho Department of Labor reported on Friday the unemployment rate in the Gem State increased from 3.3% to 3.4% in June, as compared to May. According to the department's report, unemployment increased by 578 people (1.8%) to 33,162. However, the total number of employees also increased by 1,649 people (0.2%) to 944,740.

BOISE, Idaho — A teen is dead after they were involved in a head-on collision Thursday night on Highway 44 near Star. Idaho State Police reported around 8:40 p.m., a 30-year-old man from Middleton was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado west on the highway and tried to overtake a semi-tuck.
