United Airlines Airbus makes emergency landing at Pocatello Regional Airport

POCATELLO — A United Airlines Airbus passenger plane en route from Eugene, Oregon, to Denver made an emergency landing at the Pocatello Regional Airport on Sunday.

The unexpected landing came after one of the passengers of the plane encountered a medical emergency, according to Kristy Heinz, the management assistant at the Pocatello Regional Airport.

According to flight track data, the plane landed at the Pocatello Regional Airport shortly before 4 p.m. Sunday. The affected passenger was transported via Pocatello Fire Department ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center for treatment. The person’s name and condition were not immediately available Monday.

After the medical emergency was taken care of, the plane refueled and departed from the airport around 4:55 p.m., arriving in Denver at 6:16 p.m., flight track data shows.

The Airbus that landed at the airport in Pocatello can seat between 110 and 160 passengers.
