Motorcyclist injured in crash in downtown Pocatello

POCATELLO — A motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital after a crash in downtown Pocatello on Tuesday afternoon.

Police said the accident occurred around 12:50 p.m. when the adult male motorcyclist entered the parking lane on the 500 block of North Main Street in an attempt to pass a vehicle.

When the motorcyclist saw that a car was parked in the parking lane, he laid down his motorcycle and crashed, police said.

The motorcyclist suffered injuries during the incident and was transported via Pocatello Fire Department ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center for treatment.

Police said he’s expected to survive.

His name hasn’t been released.

The incident partially blocked North Main Street for more than 30 minutes.

The crash remains under investigation by Pocatello police.
