Executive team members from Lamb Weston recently joined an assembly of distinguished guests in Eagle to celebrate the grand opening of the new french fry processing line at the company’s American Falls facility.

Idaho Secretary of Agriculture Chanel Tewalt joined the group to share a proclamation from Gov. Brad Little who declared July 30 as Lamb Weston American Falls Plant Expansion Day in Idaho.

The new french fry processing line became operational in May, creating 135 jobs at the American Falls plant.

The newest and most advanced addition to grace the plant, the french fry manufacturing line covers more than 600,000 square feet and has the capacity to produce over 1.1 million pounds of french fries per day, according to a Lamb Weston news release.

Construction on the french fry processing facility expansion at the American Falls plant began in 2022 with more than 1,000 workers involved in the project.
