As local residents of Pocatello stroll down North Main Street, they are likely to pass by one of the most unique and quaint little antique shops.

The extended entryway and the door, when opened, reveal a treasure trove of unique and vintage items that will surely captivate you. Owner Christina Lillie is always there with a warm greeting and a smile, ready to assist her customers as they explore the store's unique offerings.

Lillie, who has owned Wysteriasage & The Vintage Menagerie for two years, first opened at 658 N. Main St. However, after two years of not being noticed by patrons, she said she decided to move to the busier side of North Main Street.

At the beginning of July, Lillie and the shop moved into 127 N. Main St. and has already seen much improved customer involvement and foot traffic through her store.

"I get a lot more foot traffic on this part of Main Street," Lillie said. "I've gotten a lot more foot traffic now. People didn't even know I existed or that the store was opened down the street, so, this last few weeks was their first time here."

Lillie hails from the small town of Willimantic, Connecticut. Her love for vintage antiques was kindled in her youth, a passion she inherited from her grandparents and fostered through countless flea market and yard sale visits.

"I've always loved vintage antiques," she said. "I went to flea markets, shopping with my grandfather and grandparents, and yard sales all the time. It was just something that always fascinated me.

Lillie left the East Coast and moved to Pocatello. For the past two years, she has owned Wysteriasage & The Vintage Menagerie and brought her love of vintage antiques and vintage menagerie items with her.

"I do have a menagerie of stuff," she said. "I love kitchen things. We do a little bit of everything — kitchen ephemera, clothing, tins and art. Just everything from the 80s, 90s, early 2000s and stuff way older than that," Lillie said.

Lillie moved her store at the beginning of July and is enjoying the new customers. In the future, she hopes to keep growing her store and adding as many customers as possible, both in person and online.

"I just plan to grow and settle into the spot and grow in the block here," she said. "I participate with my other antique store friends with Pocatello is retold, and I know they're fun events to do that bring the community into downtown."

Lillie hopes that in the future, she will be able to open an Etsy shop online to let more people know about her unique and interesting vintage items.

As unique as the store is, it has something for everyone, and Lillie invites more people to come and check out her store and see the unique and cool things she has.

"Because it's so unique, you're bound to find something for somebody, if not for yourself, maybe a gift for someone that might be difficult to buy," she said. If they like unique things that you won't find anywhere else, this would be the place to go."
