    Police: 12-year-old boy critically injured when struck by car while riding bicycle on Pocatello street

    POCATELLO — A 12-year-old juvenile riding a bicycle was struck by a car on a Pocatello street on Tuesday night, police said.

    The collision occurred around 8:25 p.m. on West Pine Street near Yellowstone Avenue.

    The male juvenile was rushed via Pocatello Fire Department ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center following the incident. Police said he was critically injured in the collision.

    The boy's name and an update on his condition have not been released.

    The driver of the car stopped following the collision and is cooperating with police.

    West Pine was temporarily shut down because of the incident.

    The collision remains under investigation by Pocatello police.
