Three people injured in separate motorcycle crashes 30-minutes apart in Pocatello area

POCATELLO — Three people were transported to Portneuf Medical Center after two separate motorcycle crashes on local roads during a 30-minute span Sunday afternoon.

The first crash occurred around 1:30 p.m. on Buckskin Road near Hoot Owl Road east of Pocatello.

The man and woman who were on the motorcycle when it crashed were both transported via Pocatello Fire Department ambulance to PMC for treatment.

The Bannock County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident.

The second motorcycle crash occurred around 2 p.m. on Olympus Drive near Gold Star Drive in north Pocatello.

The man riding the motorcycle was injured in the crash and was transported via Pocatello Fire Department ambulance to PMC.

Pocatello police are investigating the accident.

The names of the three people injured in the motorcycle crashes have not been released but authorities said all three are expected to survive.

Further details on the accidents have not been released.

I'm from Florida. They have a 365 day a year "Motorcycle Awareness " campaign. Idaho, and States that Motorcycle riding is seasonal have high rates of human loss. Motorcycle riding is a defensive driving sport bc cars don't care about our safety, we are a nuisance, and it's because many cyclists can be showoffs that put car drivers in a stressful situation that scares and forces them to react when they shouldn't have to. But when a motorcyclist is killed or injured by a car that hits them, they live with that trauma for the rest of their lives.
