New restaurant vendors just opened at Boise’s downtown food hall, ‘raising the bar’

The Warehouse Food Hall has revamped its menu again.

The ever-changing downtown Boise dining destination recently unveiled two new vendors — with a third on deck.

Basquenese has opened serving Basque and Vietnamese cuisine. It’s the brick-and-mortar evolution of a food trailer that drew customers to Garden City. Owners Barbie and Matthew Larrinaga offer dishes ranging from croquetas and a chorizo hoagie to banh mi. “Matthew is a fourth generation Idahoan Basque while Barbie’s Vietnamese family inspired her passion for cooking,” a press release says.

Basquenese took over the recently vacated Bao Boi spot.

Driftwood Fry House also has opened. It “brings a wide selection of fresh and fried seafood options to The Warehouse with a menu that includes fish and chips, shrimp and more,” the release adds. Owner Justin Arroues also partially owns Don & Charly’s, a downtown sandwich shop at 103 N. 10th St.

The next newcomer at the food hall is set to be Mazzah Mediterranean Grill , which operates a restaurant at 1772 W. State St. in Boise. “It plans to bring authentic Greek and Middle Eastern flavors to the food hall with its menu featuring gyros, falafel, kabobs and more when it opens later this fall,” the release promises.

Mazzah will open in a new build-out inside The Warehouse Food Hall.

“These new vendors embody what the food hall aims to do, and that’s bring different flavors and cultures and people together in one place,” said Robert Rourk, general manager of The Warehouse. “The Warehouse continues to raise the bar when it comes to culinary dining in Boise, and we can’t wait for guests to give these new vendors a try.”

The food hall is located at at 370 S. 8th St. Other vendors include Anzalone Pizza, KB’s Burrito, Foy’s Franks, Neighbor Tim’s BBQ, Waffle Love and Rush Bowls.
