LUBBOCK, Texas– A one-day event, Miracle Treat Day, at Dairy Queen restaurants will support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in Lubbock benefitting UMC Children’s Hospital on Thursday. We had a handful of business updates and announcements during the past week, along with the sweet return of the review team for National Ice Cream Day on Sunday. An update on Shaq's Big Chicken location developed this week. The restaurant at 7411 Milwaukee Ave. plans to open within the next two weeks, pending any unexpected changes. On opening day, which has not been identified, the first 34 customers will receive gift cards for free chicken for a year. The cards will be loaded with $10 every week for the year.
