UAB to buy Ascension St. Vincent's Health System
The UAB Health System Authority will assume ownership of the Ascension St. Vincent’s Health System, including all Ascension St. Vincent’s sites, UAB announced today. The transaction includes Ascension St. Vincent’s hospitals in Birmingham, Blount County, Chilton County and east St. Clair County, as well as the One Nineteen campus off U.S. 280 in Hoover, the Trussville freestanding emergency department and imaging centers and clinics that are part of the Ascension Medical Group.
