    To say Snoop Dogg was the main attraction at the Olympics is an understatement.

    Earlier this year, NBC Sports hired the veteran rapper to serve as a commentator for the Summer Games in Paris. While he was in France, Uncle Snoop took every opportunity to participate in the historic event from the Olympic trials to the closing ceremonies. Fans went wild every time the 52-year-old artist appeared on their screens. According to QZ , the opening ceremony brought in 34.7 million viewers to all NBC platforms and millions more throughout the games. It was the most-watched Opening Ceremony since London in 2012, and executives believe it's because of Snoop.

    Snoop made history as the first West Coast MC to commentate the games, carry the Olympic torch and try his hand in various events — all of which was caught in 4K and spread throughout the Internet. His commentary on badminton could go down as the most hilarious moments in Olympic history. His patriotic outfits, inspired by Olympians from the past and present, were the talk of social media timelines everywhere. It's safe to say he earned every penny of his massive paycheck .

    Snoop Dogg does ALL the sports from fencing to karate

    Snoop is the only rapper to learn what it takes to compete in a wide range of Olympic sports. He took on an opp with a sword during fencing lessons and flipped his Judo instructor while rocking a USA-themed Gi. He also worked on his form during his powerlifting trials. As the games continued, Snoop found himself trying out events with some of the greatest Olympians on Earth.



    Snoop Dogg gets swimming lessons from Michael Phelps

    Snoop put his lungs to the test during his training with Olympian swimmer Michael Phelps. The Long Beach rapper grabbed his swimming cap and jumped in the pool to learn a few moves from the gold medalist. He was able to keep up with Mike, but he found out real quick that Olympic swimming isn't as easy as it looks.

    Ahead of the games, Snoop Dogg participated in the 200-meter race during the Olympic trials in June. Uncle Snoop rocked a t-shirt dedicated to Kobe Bryant and hit the track alongside four-time Olympic medalist Ato Boldon and two-time NCAA outdoor champion Wallace Spearmon. He rocked a shirt dedicated to the late Kobe Bryant as he ran the race. He was extremely proud of himself after he clocked in at 34.44. “34.44 for a 52-year-old? Ain’t bad," he said at the finish line.


    Snoop finally meets Pierre the Frenchie

    The Doggfather finally got to meet Pierre the French bulldog. Snoop and the D-O-single G got to hang out with the popular pooch and even gave him a new nickname, "Pierre Cardin."

    Snoop Dogg couldn't have taken over the Olympics without his best friend Martha Stewart. The duo showed out during the equestrian events with their matching uniforms, which nearly broke the Internet. During his time on the field, Snoop confronted his longtime fear of horses and got close to one for the first time ever. Once they got to their seats, Stewart broke down the art of equestrian dressing and Snoop couldn't get enough of it. "This is my new favorite sport," he said .

    Snoop Dogg and Cookie Monster became fast friends at the Olympics. Snoop got the "Sesame Street" icon to surprise Martha Stewart with a cake full of macarons in honor of her 83rd birthday. During the birthday luncheon, Snoop couldn't help but fan out over Cookie as they munched on the French desserts. It was a wholesome moment for everyone at the table.

    Snoop Dogg hits the mic in honor of Team USA Basketball's 50th anniversary

    Snoop was the special guest performer at Team USA Basketball's epic celebration in Paris in honor of its 50th anniversary. The Death Row Records owner delivered songs like "Drop It Like It's Hot." He even brought out the USA Women's basketball team while he performed "I Wanna Love You" and a cover of Next's "Too Close."


    Snoop Dogg takes over as coach for Women's Beach Volleyball Team

    Snoop showed up to the Women's Beach Volleyball event with a mission. He came decked out in a patriotic outfit dedicated to Kelly Cheng and Sara Hughes. He even claimed to be their coach.

    “I'm the coach," he said. "I gotta represent USA all day. I had a chance to meet these ladies and fell in love with them. I love the whole strategic approach of how they teach teamwork and how they keep family and sisterhood, that’s just so important to me. I love supporting that.”

    Snoop was a huge supporter of Team USA's gymnastics team from day one. During the opening ceremony, Snoop got a chance to reconnect with Simon Biles' father and mother, who hilariously trolled him for allegedly dismissing them when they first met in New York City. After that moment, Snoop and the Biles family became closer than ever. The 11-time medalist and the legendary rapper spent some time watching some of the track & field events together. Snoop even caught a vibe with Biles and Jordan Chiles as they danced in-between events while the rapper was in the stands with Chiles' family. It was an experience neither of them will forget.

    During the opening ceremony, Snoop Dogg made history by becoming the first West Coast rapper to carry the Olympic torch . He carried the torch through the Saint-Denis suburb of Paris before it made its way toward the cauldron in the Tuileries Gardens. Snoop continued to make history when he busted out a quick c-walk before he handed it off to the next carrier.

    Snoop Dogg learns how to do official goal calls for soccer

    One of the most hilarious things Snoop learned how to do was call a goal for Team USA's soccer team. He teamed up with Telemundo's Andrés Cantor to commentate on the women’s quarterfinal match between Team USA and Japan. During halftime, Snoop got some tips from Cantor on how to yell "Goooooool!" the right way. “Boy, you gotta hold that thing,” Snoop said after their lesson. “He know how to hold that thing too long.”

    Snoop trades pins with Coco Gauff

    Snoop gave tennis star Coco Gauff the best pin to commemorate her time at the Olympics. In a video he posted, Snoop rocks a shirt with her face on it. He praised Gauff after she won against Argentina’s Maria Lourdes Carle and presented the pin as a gift. The iconic pin shows him in a bandana-blue outfit while blowing out Olympic smoke rings.

    Snoop Dogg opens inaugural breaking competition

    Snoop made history right before the Olympics wrapped up. The veteran rapper opened the inaugural breaking competition and participated in a ritual that hadn't been performed in 900 years. Snoop carried the baton in the middle of the platform and banged it on the floor three times to officially begin the first-ever breakdancing event in Olympic history. He stayed and watched the B-Boys and B-Girls battle it out for the gold.

    Snoop Dogg was part of the grand opening and grand closing of the 2024 Olympics. Big Snoop returned to his hometown of Long Beach to kick off the hype for the Los Angeles Games in 2028. The Doggystyle rapper performed his classic "Drop It Like It's Hot" and brought out Dr. Dre to perform "The Next Episode." He hit the stage after H.E.R. sang "The Star-Spangled Banner" and Red Hot Chili Peppers performed their hits.
