All eyes were on Kenneth "Lil Woody" Copeland after he admitted to lying to police about Young Thug's alleged involvement in a murder.

Copeland said he was "full of s**t" during his anticipated testimony on Monday, August 12. He confessed to lying about Young Thug's involvement in a 2015 shooting to avoid going to jail.

“I have lied,” he said. “I made things up. I told you this before y’all brought me in this courtroom, and I’m telling you now. You asked me about 2015. I had got my life together. Y’all are trying to put this on my conscience, y’all are trying to put people’s lives in my hands."

"So what I did was, to get them off me, I said, 'Thug did this, Thug did that.' Because I knew he didn't do it," Copeland said.

Copeland reportedly offered to provide information about Young Thug and others as part of a deal to avoid jail time for possessing a weapon as a convicted felon. He was granted immunity, which means nothing he says can be used against him in the future. Copeland began his testimony back in June after he was held in contempt by the former Judge Ural Glanville.

After the trial was paused to find a replacement for Judge Glanville , Copeland returned to the courtroom last week to speak with Judge Whitaker about continuing his testimony. He was hesitant at first but he eventually agreed to attend the hearing. While on the witness stand, Copeland answered most of the prosecutor's questions with "I don't recall." After he went on a rant, Copeland clarified that he didn't want to help the rapper out with his lackluster testimony.

“I don’t wanna be here," he continued. "Y’all have pressured me, I’m tired of y’all, cause y’all know y’all wrong, and y’all Black people doing this to us.”

"It may seem like I'm trying to help Thug out," he said. "I'm not trying to help him out. I don't care nothing about him, what he got going on, nothing. I care about the truth."

Young Thug has been on trial for 110 days. He's facing a slew of allegations after he was indicted on RICO charges along with several other YSL members. He was arrested in May 2022 and has been behind bars ever since. He pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
