A California woman was mauled to death by a pack of wild dogs while hiking a popular nature trail. Authorities found the body of 56-year-old Davina Corbin near the Blackhawk Trail in Feather Falls last week. Her body was covered in bite marks, which authorities determined were to be from a pack of 25 wild Great Danes that have been terrorizing residents of Feather Falls for the past two years.

Max Hecker told KCRA that he's had a couple of run-ins over the past two years with the wild Great Danes that roam his neighborhood.

"The Great Danes, they come across the road here at me," he said. "I jumped in the car and left."

Hecker said that residents have reported the issue to local animal control officials, but nothing has ever been done.

"What I'm saying is animal control is just as much at fault about that death as them dogs. They didn't do anything about any of this," Hecker added. "This is what I'm mad about; that lady should have never died."

The dogs were rounded up by officers and are being held at the Butte County Animal Control. The agency said they do not have any plans to euthanize the dogs.
