EST Gee's artist EST Lu Mike was reportedly shot and killed just weeks after the Louisville native lost his manager to gun violence .

EST Lu Mike, born Michael Bachelor, was one of three men who were shot at the 900 block of Baxter Avenue in the Original Highlands neighborhood on Sunday, August 11. According to WAVE , police responded to the scene and found one man deceased from gunshot wounds. Another man, Monte Wade, was rushed to the University of Louisville Hospital, but was pronounced dead after several attempts were made to save his life. The third man survived the shooting and made his way to Norton Women and Children's Hospital.

Bachelor was only 20 years old when he passed away. He had been a part of EST Gee's Young Shiners crew for some time and even contributed several songs to the group's 2023 album Shiners Are Forever . Lu Mike released his own single "Really Like That" last month and "I Hope" earlier this year. He also dropped a snippet of an upcoming song on his Instagram page a few days before his death, in which he allegedly dissed his rivals. It's not clear when (or if) the song will drop.

As of this report, EST Gee has not commented on EST Lu Mike's death. It's the second time he's lost someone close to him in the past month. His manager EST Beach was also shot and killed in Louisville outside of the KFC YUM! Center. Beach suffered from several gunshot wounds after the "EST Gee + Friends Summer Jam" concert ended.
