    iHeartRadio podcast Law & Order: Criminal Justice System finally hit airwaves on Thursday (August 15), and it's changing the way listeners view cases within the American legal system that set the precedent for modern day criminal investigations, starting in the city that never sleeps.

    Host Anna-Sigga Nicolazzi is a former prosecutor for the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office that leads listeners through the entirety of the series that promises to "uncover the real stories behind the landmark cases that have shaped how the most dangerous and influential criminals in America are prosecuted."

    Season one of the long-awaited pod takes listeners back to New York City in 1979 and "dives behind the curtain into the shadowy world of the American Mafia, chronicling the fall of the most notorious criminal organization in history," detailing "how the seemingly random murder of an influential mafioso sparked a chain of events that led to the downfall of the city's five major crime families at the height of their power."

    The investigative series begins with the assassination of Carmine Galante , an event that would "alter the landscape of organized crime in the United States" forever.
