Chris Martin, Dakota Johnson 'Happily Together' Despite Breakup Rumors

Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson are still together despite rumors that the pair called off their engagement and "split for good" after seven years together.

According to People , the Coldplay frontman and Fifty Shades of Grey icon are "happily together" and still "going strong" despite rumors that flooded the internet regarding a potential split on Friday (August 16).

The icons started dating in 2017 and got engaged earlier this year. The 34-year-old actress was spotted wearing her emerald engagement ring just last weekend while walking her dog in Malibu near the pair's current residence.

The "Sky Full of Stars" standout, currently nowhere near Johnson, is on the European leg of Coldplay's Spheres World Tour in Munich, Germany as false information regarding an end to their engagement continues to spread. The former couple split in 2019 over an alleged disagreement regarding children, but got back together almost immediately.

Rumors regarding a possible breakup also emerged in May of 2024 when a female fan Martin "gave a lift to" publicly maintained that the artist was "single" (per Daily Mail ). Then, the following month, Martin and Johnson were seen together amid supposed "ups and downs" and were reported to be "back on."

Martin and Johnson have yet to publicly speak about recent breakup gossip as they remain happily engaged.
