Hurricane Chris Calls Out 50 Cent In Lengthy Rant After Shreveport Events

Hurricane Chris is sounding off about the one thing 50 Cent didn't do during his string of events in his hometown.

On Sunday, August 18, the Louisiana native hopped on social media and blasted the rapper-filmmaker for not booking local artists to perform during his Humor & Harmony Weekend in Shreveport. In a video, Chris said he wasn't feeling the idea from the jump and slammed Fif for allegedly leaving him and other Louisiana artists out of the mix.

“You threw a motherf**king concert in Louisiana and didn’t book no Louisiana legends, didn’t put no bankroll in any Louisiana legends’ pockets, but you paid the police half a million dollars,” he said.

“What kind of b***h a** s**t is that?” he continued. "N***a you ain't f**kin' with my city."

Chris accused 50 Cent of using his city because it's cheaper to operate from there than "where he's from." He also claimed the G-Unit Films founder didn't book artists like himself, Big Will, Big Poppa or even Baton Rouge natives like Boosie Badazz and Webbie . Chris also ripped Fif for paying $500,000 to the local police department instead of investing it into the community. He expanded on his argument on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"When I got my deal I saw Shreveport was a place that was looked at like a cheap investment but we still protected our home front to make sure we would keep what’s ours the city is using 50 cent to make the city money not the people half a mill on police Yu just fed the beast," he wrote.

Once the "A Bay Bay" rapper's rant went viral, Fredo Bang hopped on to defend Fif. Fredo was one of several artists who was booked to perform and hails from Baton Rouge. After the "Top" MC shut down Chris' argument, 50 Cent shared his reaction on X. He essentially co-signed Fredo Bang and criticized his music.

"Hurricane Flex 😆boy ya s**t is wack, the f**k you think you @FredoBang 🤨 ya s**t gets no play in my ride. LOL," 50 Cent wrote.

50 Cent hosted the event shortly after he set up shop in the Louisiana town. Earlier this year, the "Power" creator opened his G-Unit Film & Television Studio in Shreveport. He plans to make the city his home base for film production and aims to create more TV series at the massive studio space.
