Tyrese had tears in his eyes while explaining how he handles all the grief he's experienced recently.

The R&B singer sat down with The Breakfast Club on Tuesday, August 20, to talk about a slew of topics with Charlamagne Tha God and guest host Loren LaRosa. DJ Envy was present for the first few minutes of the interview but emphasized that he and Tyrese spoke man-to-man off the air following their contentious interview last year. During the conversation, Tyrese opened up about his upcoming album Beautiful Pain and his new film 1992 starring him and the late Ray Liotta. That's when Charlamagne asked how he deals with all the loss in his life.

"I'm doing the best I can with every 24 hours I get," Tyrese replied while holding back his tears. "That's it. I don't need no tissue. Black men cry. I don't need no f**king tissue."

The 45-year-old singer has suffered from a lot of loss in recent years between his high-profile divorce from his ex-wife to the death of his mother Priscilla Murray. Tyrese's mom passed away on Valentine's Day in 2022 following complications from COVID-19. He also lost his two sisters Salandra and Shonta Gibson, who passed away last year. Tyrese said that it's been tough to get through it all. He even acknowledged that his recent life challenges caused him to push the album back a bit, but he still holds his head up high.

"This is some real s**t out here. I'mma wipe my own tears," Tyrese said. "When you do things from the heart, it affects hearts. That's what Beautiful Pain is."

Tyrese returned to The Breakfast Club after he debuted his new single "Wildflower," which is dedicated to his late mother. It will appear on his new album dropping on August 30. Watch the entire interview below.
